Soudatight LQ is a high-quality fibre-reinforced polymer paste that, once dry, forms an air- and vapour-tight elastic membrane. Use Soudatight LQ for air- and vapour-tight sealing of penetrations, window, floor-wall, wall-ceiling and roof connections. The product can be applied very easily with a flat brush. Cracks up to 2 mm can easily be bridged thanks to the fibre reinforcement. Soudatight LQ changes colour when dry (= visual check).
Properties:
Air- and vapour-tight
Fibre reinforced making it suitable for crack bridging up to 2 mm
Very good adhesion to many porous materials
Good adhesion on slightly damp substrates
Permanently elastic after curing and very durable
Can be painted over and plastered after drying
Meets GEV-EMICODE EC-1 PLUS: very low emission
Applications:
For air- and vapour-tight finishing of penetrations, seams, gaps, cracks and openings, wall/floor connections, wall/ceiling connections and window connections such as inside inner leaf (day side) and outside inner leaf (for application of facade insulation).
Instructions for use:
Allow Soudatight LQ to reach room temperature before use. Shake or stir well before use. Soudatight LQ is applied to the substrate directly from the packaging using a flat brush. The product should be smeared/coated onto the substrate. Apply the airtightness paste undiluted and evenly in several layers (at least 2) to the substrate to a layer thickness of minimum 1 mm and maximum 3 mm. For best coverage, apply the product at a different angle the second time. It is recommended to apply the 2nd coat only after skin formation occurs with the first coat. The application thickness should be measured (wet) using a thickness gauge. For window applications ensure that the airtightness paste forms a seamless membrane of at least 3 mm on the window frame, over the flexible foam up to ± 5 cm on the day side of the building shell. The use of masking tape (on the window frame) is recommended. However, this should be removed shortly after the application of Soudatight LQ, before curing. For wall connections, ensure that the airtightness paste forms a seamless membrane of ± 15 cm on both surfaces. Before curing, Soudatight LQ can be removed from materials and tools with water.
